I love spiced walnuts. They are so great for SO many things: on cheese plates, in breads, and simply in a bowl on your holiday table. They pack a ton of flavor and make a huge impact for not a lot of effort. Trust me, they are well worth making.

Servings: Two Cups
2 Cups Shelled Walnuts
2 Egg Whites
2 Egg Whites
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Cayenne (add more if you like it SPICY)
A Pinch of Salt
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Pour the walnuts into a medium size bowl. Pour the egg whites over them and toss to make sure all of the walnuts are covered. Add the brown sugar, cayenne, and salt and coat all of the walnuts completely. Spread them, in one thin layer, on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Roast for about 7-10 minutes until caramelized. Be sure to check on them. When they become fragrant they are done. Let cool and serve!
