I don't know a single man who doesn't love bacon. Come to think of it, I don't think I know many people who don't love smokey, crispy, delicious bacon. When I think of a gift that keeps on giving, and may even get you a few wedding proposals, I think of Bourbon Candied Bacon. It takes no time to prepare and will keep people asking for more.
Bourbon Candied Bacon
Bourbon Candied Bacon
Ingredients:
8 - 10 slices of lean bacon
1 cup of packed brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
5 tsp bourbon
Directions:
Preheat oven at 375. In a small bowl mix together, brown sugar, bourbon, and vanilla. If using a metal cooling rack, spray the rack with non-stick cooking spray, and place the rack inside the baking sheet. Place the bacon slices in a single layer either directly on the foil or on a rack. Make sure not to overlap slices. Generously place the dry rub onto the bacon and place in the oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp. Keep the Bacon on the rack to cool and serve.
