I don't know about you, but when fall arrives something awakens inside me that makes me want to consume all things pumpkin. I start dreaming of going apple picking, picking that perfect great pumpkin, and having cozy dinners with friends.
This pumpkin butter recipe is a perfect last minute addition to any dinner party, especially with cheese!
Pumpkin Butter:
Inactive Prep Time: 20 min
Yields: 16 oz
1 15 oz can pumpkin
1/4 cup apple cider
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
Put all ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Combine over medium low heat and cook for 20 minutes, uncovered, until thick and fragrant. Serve warm, or store in a mason jar in the refrigerator.
