My Boston pride runs deep. I am the first to tell you if that famous person is from my home town. I love all things Boston and that includes Necco Wafers and Conversation Hearts. That Cambridge staple went out of business this year and I simply could not let the first Valentine's Day without those sweetheart sentiments go undocumented. Here is my ode to Necco.

Ingredients
1 Cup White Chocolate (or candy
melts) – Coarsely chopped
12 oz Dark Chocolate (or candy
melts) – Coarsely Chopped
Hot Pink Food Coloring
Candy Hearts and Sprinkles for
decoration
Directions
Line a large baking sheet with
parchment paper. Pour the white chocolate into a microwave safe bowl. Place it
in the microwave and melt at 30 second increments until it is fully melted – usually
no more than 60 seconds. Add the pink food coloring to taste, stir, and set
aside. Do the same with the dark chocolate - except for the food coloring. Stir it to confirm that the
chocolate is completely smooth and melted.
Pour the melted dark chocolate on the parchment lined baking sheet. Use an offset spatula to spread it evenly into a rectangle. Drizzle the white chocolate on top and use a toothpick or a knife to swirl the layers together. Decorate with conversation hearts and sprinkles. Place the chocolate in the freezer for at least 20 minutes and break into pieces and serve!
