Free At Last! (Gluten Free Pie Crust)

I have a lot of friends who are Celiac. One of the things they crave most is a sweet treat that they can eat. This is a great crust for tarts, pies, and even savory items!

Gluten Free Pie Crust

Prep Time:10 Minutes
Total Time: 1 Hour 20 Minutes
Serving Size: 1 - 9 Inch Pie Crust

Ingredients
1 1/2 Cup Almond Meal OR Almond Flour
4 Tbsp of Ghee or Coconut Oil (Melted)
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup (for sweet, leave out if using for savory recipes)
1/4 tsp Baking Soda

Directions:
Place all of the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor. Mix until the mixture comes together into a ball. Spread the pie dough into the bottom of a tart pan, or a spring form pan. I like to use the bottom of a glass to make sure it is evenly distributed. Put the pan on a cookie sheet and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Preheat your oven to 350. Take the tart crust out of the refrigerator and cover with parchment. Pour dried beans or pie weights into it evenly and bake for 20 minutes. Take it out of the oven and fill as desired!
