One of my favorite traditions is spending Halloween my The Grems (my niece and nephew). They were born on October 5th and I have spent every Halloween with them since they were born. They LOVE to dress up, but aren't the biggest fans of trick or treating so Auntie makes sure that she makes the most special and spooky treats for them to enjoy. Here is one of the ones I plan to scare them with this year!
Reeses Peanut Butter Cup and Oreo Bats
Ingredients
12 Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
12 Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
12 Oreo Cookies
1/4 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions
1. Unwrap the Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and set aside.
2. Separate the oreos, scrape the cream from the middle (reserve for later) and carefully cut the oreos in half.
3. Pour the semi sweet chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl, and place in the microwave and melt in 30 second increments until smooth and shiny.
4. Dip the edges of the cookie in the chocolate and place it in the center of the peanut butter cup. Repeat with a second cookie to create bat wings.
5. Keep your fingers on the Oreos until they set and stay in place.
6. Dip the back of the candy eyeballs in chocolate and place where the cookies meet.
7. Serve and enjoy!
