Count Peanut Butter Chocula! (Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge Buttercream)
I think it is fair to say that chocolate and peanut butter is a marriage sent from the gods. So why not combine them to make a delicious buttercream? It is great on cakes, on toast, or just by the spoonful!
Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge Buttercream
Ingredients
1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter (cool)
1/2 Cup Smooth Natural Peanut Butter (unsweetened)
3 1/2 Cups Confectioner's Sugar (sifted)
1 tsp Vanilla
1/3 Cup Cocoa
3-4 Tbsp Milk
Directions
In the bowl of a mixer combine the butter, peanut butter and vanilla. Sift the Cocoa and Confectioner's Sugar together and mix the frosting on high until it is light and fluffy. If the texture isn't quite right add milk one tablespoon at a time until it reached the desired consistency. Store the frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you are ready to use.
