Chocolate Orange (Orange Infused Dark Chocolate Tart)

After spending a week in Paris I came home ready to make all of the confections I tried there including an incredible orange infused chocolate tart. It was silky, smooth, and beyond delicious. This recipe is so easy and so delicious to make it will be become a welcome addition to your dessert rotation.

Active Time: 30 Minutes
Total Prep Time: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
Servings: 8 Servings

Tart Shell
18 Chocolate Cookies
1/2 Cup Butter (Melted)

Tart Filling
12 oz Dark Chocolate
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Fresh Orange Juice
2 Tbsp Orange Zest

Directions
Preheat the oven at 350. Break the cookies into pieces and place in the bowl of a food processor along with melted butter. Pulse until the cookies are a fine crumble and the crust comes together. Pour the cookie crust in an ungreased 9-inch tart pan or a 9-inch spring form pan. Press the mixture into the base of the tart pan and along the sides firmly. Put the tart pan on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Meanwhile heat the heavy cream in small sauce pan until simmering. Once the cream is bubbling on the sides take it off the heat. Add the chocolate, orange juice, and orange zest and stir with a whisk until smooth. When the tart shell is fully cooked, remove it from the oven and pour the chocolate ganache into the shell. Grate orange zest over the top of the tart. Let the chocolate set for at least an hour before serving, or cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and serve!
