Entertaining during the holidays is compulsory in my house. I love to have people come over to trim the Christmas tree and listen to Barbra Streisand's Christmas album. But with so much going on it is often hard for me to have fresh baked goods each and every time. That is why I always have chocolate covered pretzels at the ready. They are easy to make, look festive, and will stay fresh throughout the season. Plus they are no bake so they are super fun to make with the little ones.
Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods
Active Time: 20 Minutes
Inactive Time: 1 Hour
Servings: 24 Pretzel Rods
Directions:
24 Pretzel Rods
2 Cups Chocolate Chips (I prefer dark chocolate)
2 Cups Chocolate Chips (I prefer dark chocolate)
2 Cups White Chocolate Chips
1 tsp Coconut Oil
Holiday Sprinkles of Your Choosing
- Red and Green Sprinkles
- Holiday M & Ms
- Crushed Candy Canes
- Nonpareils
Directions:
Pour the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl. Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high at 30 second increments until entirely melted - not more than 1 minute. (for both dark chocolate and white chocolate). Mix the chocolate until smooth and dip one pretzel rod at a time. I like to use a knife to evenly spread the chocolate evenly. Sprinkle your decoration of choice and place on a cooling rack with parchment underneath. Place the cooling rack in the refrigerator and let set. Place in a festive glass and serve.
